The California Republic is situated in the large central valley region of the state after much of the old west coast was destroyed in the great quakes and tsunamis of the fall.
It is an agricultural based society that takes advantage of the excellent growing conditions in the valley. Highway 99 runs the length of the valley and is the main artery. The largest settlements are Bakersfield and Redding.
