Old New Mexico Tales

The continued large population growth of the Texican Republic spurs second sons and the like to drive expansion as they seek their own piece of land to call home.  The ancient tradition of "going west" drives many in to the once lost lands of New Mexico with fabled cities such as Tooson, Albuquerque, Heldarado and Santa Fay to be explored and won. Fame and wealth awaits those with the gumption to follow their manifest destiny.

Sadly horrors await beyond the atomic ruins of  Roswell where General Curtis Lemarr is said to have 'nuked' the anti-Christ and postponed the end of days. Where the Black Rains twisted life and cursed the survivors. Beyond the reach of the Republic and  possibly even her famed TexasRangers the land is wild and filled with banditos, mutant beasts and feared injuns.

William Jay- Lepetomane has been appointed Governor-Overseer of these new territories of Old New Mexico and is determined to drive forward both the reclamation of the lands and his own career. He has recently occupied the old Texas city of El Paso on the Rio Grande after defeating the river pirates and bandits that occupied and terrorised the settlement. Still only just in control the Governor is looking to send out other pacifying groups while weary of the menacing shadow of  Santa Obama's horde south of the border with Mexico.

The pirates and banditos have reformed at the river town of Las Cruces forty miles north of El Paso and are blocking all expansion in to Old New Mexico along the Rio Grande valley.  With the Sierra Blanca to the east and desert to the west Jay- Lepetomane'sline of advance is blocked for the time being.
